How much revenue is your front desk quietly leaking?
Every missed call and unanswered WhatsApp is a booking that walks to an OTA — or to the hotel down the road. Move the sliders to match your property and the number updates live. Nothing to sign up for.

These are directional estimates based on the figures you enter, meant to help you scope the opportunity — not a guarantee of results. Recovery assumes the AI answers virtually every call and message and converts at the rate you specified.
Where the money goes
A missed call never shows up in your PMS. That is exactly why it keeps happening.
Every other leak in a hotel leaves a trace. A cancelled booking is a line in the system. A bad review is a rating you can read. But a call that rang out at 11pm leaves nothing behind at all — so it never makes the morning report, and nobody is accountable for it.
After hours
The desk is not staffed, but guests still call
A large share of booking inquiries arrive outside the hours anyone is at the desk to take them. The phone rings out and the guest books wherever they get answered first.
At the peak
The phone loses to the guest in front of you
During check-in and check-out rushes, your team is doing the right thing by serving the person at the counter. The ringing phone is the cost of that choice.
On WhatsApp
Messages sit unread between shifts
WhatsApp inquiries do not ring. They queue silently, get seen hours later, and by then the guest has already booked somewhere that answered in minutes.
How the math works
No black box. Here is the whole formula.
You should be able to defend this number in front of an owner, so there is nothing hidden in it. Every input is yours, and the arithmetic is four lines long.
- 1
Missed contacts
(missed calls + unanswered WhatsApps) × 30 days
- 2
Missed inquiries
missed contacts × share that are booking inquiries
- 3
Lost bookings
missed inquiries × your conversion rate
- 4
Revenue lost
lost bookings × your average booking value
- 5
Recoverable
revenue lost × 85% capture rate
Questions
About this calculator.
How does the hotel missed revenue calculator work?
It multiplies the calls and WhatsApp messages you miss each day by 30 to get a monthly volume, keeps only the share that are genuine booking inquiries, applies your own inquiry-to-booking conversion rate, and multiplies the resulting lost bookings by your average booking value. Every input is yours, so the output reflects your property rather than an industry average.
What counts as a missed call or an unanswered inquiry?
Any call that rings out and any message that goes unanswered long enough for the guest to look elsewhere. In practice this is heaviest after hours, during check-in and check-out peaks, and whenever the desk is dealing with a guest in front of them. Most properties underestimate it, because a call that was never picked up rarely leaves a trace in the PMS.
Why does the calculator assume 85% recovery rather than 100%?
Because 100% would not be honest. Some callers hang up in the first second, some inquiries genuinely need a human, and some contacts were never going to book. An 85% capture rate is what a 24/7 voice and WhatsApp agent realistically holds once it is answering every channel, and it keeps the number on this page defensible in front of an owner.
Can I use this calculator in USD?
Yes. Use the INR/USD toggle at the top of the inputs panel. The page defaults to INR for visitors in India and USD everywhere else, and the average booking value range adjusts to figures that make sense in each market, rather than a straight currency conversion.
How accurate are the numbers?
They are directional, not a guarantee. The calculator is designed to help you scope the size of the opportunity quickly, using assumptions you control. If you want a figure grounded in your actual call logs and PMS data, book a demo and the team will work through your real numbers with you.
